The Polo Grille and ProKids have partnered to create a unique year-long fundraiser that will benefit Cincinnati’s foster children. Beginning January 15, 2011, area residents can give a child a voice when they dine at The Polo Grille.  Guests can have their server or bartender round their check up to the nearest dollar and the difference will benefit ProKids.  To kick off the year long fundraiser, The Polo Grille will donate 5% of sales on Saturday, January 15th  in addition to what is raised through Pony Up.

“This is an easy way to make a difference in the life of a child,” says Shannon Conrey, General Manager of The Polo Grille. “We find that many of our guests prefer a check total with a round number for easier bookkeeping, so we thought we’d give them the opportunity to round up their check and put the extra change to good use.”

 For 30 years, ProKids has been advocating on behalf of abused and neglected children in the foster care system.  ProKids is a non-profit agency that recruits, trains and supports volunteers to become CASAs – Court Appointed Special Advocates.  These CASA volunteers become the eyes and the ears of the court and provide a powerful voice for the child’s best interests.  ProKids also provides leadership and education to the community through specialized programs such as Building Blocks for children age birth to 3 years old, Steps to Peace to address family violence, and the CASA University training program.  ProKids vision is a safe, permanent and nurturing home for every child.
